Founder & Emmy-Nominated Hairstylist
Stacey Lyn founded Once Upon a Bride in 1999 while working on set at The View and running her first New York salon in Nolita. After styling a friend's wedding, referrals quickly followed — and what began organically soon evolved into Stacey representing hair and makeup artists.
Drawing from her network in television, editorial, and New York salon culture, Stacey created Once Upon a Bride to give brides access to artists and a level of beauty experience that previously felt reserved for celebrity, fashion, and media clientele.
Her career has spanned some of the most recognized platforms in media, including CBS News, The View, and Bravo. As Bethenny Frankel's private hairstylist for over a decade, Stacey appeared and worked on multiple television productions, including Bethenny Ever After, Bethenny & Fredrik, Watch What Happens Live, and The Bethenny Show.
Her work on The Bethenny Show earned a Daytime Emmy nomination.
When Brides assembled a “Dream Team” of industry experts, Stacey was selected as their beauty authority.

The Artists
Each artist is matched to you personally — based on your vision, your style, your wedding day story. You are never assigned randomly. You are paired intentionally.
Stacey Lyn & Editorial Team.
Work directly with Stacey Lyn — celebrity-trusted and the artist behind some of the most memorable bridal moments in New York. She brings her full attention and precision to every client, from the first conversation through to the final look.
Precise. Technical. Uncompromising.
For looks that require a more detailed approach. These are Stacey's most technically skilled artists — specialists in complex updos, extensions, thinning hair, and working confidently across all textures and hair types. Each is chosen for their ability to navigate complexity and execute highly considered looks for both bride and bridal party.
Luminous. Personal. Modern.
For the bride who knows exactly what she wants. The Signature artists focus on light-handed makeup with an emphasis on skin — fresh, luminous, and clean, with the option to build into a soft, natural smoky eye. Hair is worn down, softly styled, or gently pulled back — unhurried and entirely natural in feel.
